Dil se is a movie which as a film may not have been that good but two things which were outstanding in the film were its music and cinematography. One of the scenes which, I always remeber because of how real it felt even when I was watching it, was when Shah Rukh Khan brings two cups of tea for Monisha Koirala and himself in the railway station , but by this time she has already got into the train and Shah Rukh tries to locate her, it is pouring at this point and rain drops fall into the cup which makes the tea kind off splash on his hand . This made me wince with that feeling of tingling pain even when I was only watching the film.

The other thing in the film which I reaaallly loved were the colours especially in the song Dil Se re.... in one particular sequence its all brown and kind of autumish because of the fallen leaves which gives an eerie feeling of death and destruction bombs keep exploding in the vicinity and more leaves fly around the place and in all this chaos is Manish koirala in a beautifull pink chifon salwar kameez and pearls looking innocent and the colour baby pink on her giving that feeling of hope and life is a beautifull contrast .Colours are used so beautifully here to potray the mood and emotion of the film that we dont even conciously realise why it has such an effect on us.
